Resorts

Sitting in the north east of Lapland and 150km north of the Arctic Circle Yllas is a small unspoilt ski resort and is known for darker nights and more snowfall than the more southern towns.
Yllas is in a great location for those hoping to catch a glimpse of the Northern lights, the town even has its own Aurora Borealis nights when the villagers turn off their streetlights for better visibility.
This resort also has some great snow sport facilities and some amazing ski slopes. You have 2 small villages here Äkäslompolo and Ylläsjärv each offering a selection of winter cafes and bars. They are just 15 mins apart with a local bus connection.

Rovaniemi is the capital of Lapland, known as the official hometown of ‘Santa Claus’ and sits right on the Arctic circle.
Even though Rovaniemi has its own town centre it is located between the rivers Kenojoko and Ounasjoki and surrounded by nature.
There is evidence of Santa everywhere in Rovaniemi from the Santa Claus Village right through to the snow-covered forests that surround his hidden home.
You can spend 2 or 3 nights in this amazing resort on our overnight packages.
