Indulge yourself in the beauty of Budapest. We add cultural visits in and around Budapest including a Sightseeing Tour, guided tour of the Hungarian Parliament, visit to Godollo and Szentendre and guided tour of the Franz Liszt Museum and Music Academy. Budapest is an enchanting city with beautiful palaces and castles. See the city sights as you are chauffeured along Budapest's elegant boulevards to Heroes’ Square, across the mighty Danube and up to Gellert Hill. Look out over the famous river dividing Buda and Pest - the two sides linked by the Chain and Elizabeth Bridges. Visit the Castle District and enjoy the amazing views from the Fisherman’s Bastion over the exquisite Parliament building, one of the largest in Europe. During your free time, be sure to spend the afternoon at the popular pedestrian shopping street of Váci utca where the city’s museums and monuments, churches and synagogues, historic squares and buildings are within easy reach or enjoy a relaxing visit to one of Budapest's famous thermal baths.


Day 1 – 21 March 2022

Your tour will start with flight to Budapest. On arrival in Budapest, meet your local guide and transfer to the 4*Superior Contiental Hotel Budapest where you are booked for five-nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

Lunch on arrival in a local restaurant followed by a tour of the Castle district.

Discover the Buda Castle district, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. and its cobbled streets. Walk in the alleys of the old district and admire the beautiful Baroque style houses. Visit the Fisherman’s Bastion, with its 7 towers that commemorate the 7 Hungarian tribes who settled in the territory of Hungary in 896 and admire the spectacular view over Budapest. Today, you will also visit the Dominican cloister, incorporated into the Hilton Hotel and the famous Matthias Church with its diverse architectural styles. Continue to the Royal Castle on foot. This marvelous building overlooks the Danube with its length of 304 meters. Among the ancient fortifications, all restored, the most interesting ones are the Stephan’s Tower, the Mace tower and the surrounding walls, the Ferdinand Gate. Outside visits.

Transfer to hotel and meet your fellow travellers over a welcome dinner in your hotel.

Day 2 – 22 March 2022

Buffet breakfast in hotel.

Today, we visit the Dohány Street (Reformed) Synagogue, the largest synagogue in Europe and visit the Hungarian Jewish Museum. We take a short walk in the Jewish District. Then visit the “Shoes on the Danube Bank,” close to the Parliament, at the shores of the Danube, a spot commemorating the Jews who were ordered to remove their shoes before being shot by the Nazis.

Lunch will be served in a local restaurant.

As part of today’s tour, we visit the architectural jewel of Budapest, the Hungarian Parliament Building. Home to the Holy Crown of Hungary, we explore the buildings impressive interior. Marvel at the history behind the walls of Hungary’s largest building as your admire the impressive staircase, Session Room and Great Vaulted Hall.
Please note that the Parliament reserves the right to cancel the visit in case of any official programme, reception etc..

Then on foot, we walk from the Parliament to admire the Art Nouveau Postal Savings Bank and Gresham Palace (exteriors only).

Transfer back to hotel.

Remainder of the day and evening is at your leisure.

Day 3 – 23 March 2022

Buffet breakfast in hotel.

This morning, we focus on 19th century Budapest, beginning with St Stephen’s Basilica. View the architecture along Andrássy út, constructed in 1872 and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002, largely thanks to the beautiful facades of the houses and hotels in Renaissance style that are still preserved. Moving on to Transfer to Heros Square (Hősök tere), walk around the City Park, admire the Széchenyi Baths (exterior only), Vajdahunyad Castle and its inner courtyard.

Lunch will be served in a local restaurant.

After lunch, visit the Museum of Fine Arts. Budapest's stunning Arts Museum, The Museum of Fine Arts, was founded in 1896. Your expert art guide will show you the highlights of the exhibition entitled “European Art 1250-1600”.

Remainder of the day and evening is at your leisure. We suggest that you take some time to visit one of Budapest’s best streets for browsing, Falk Miksa utca runs from Kossuth tér and Parliament to Jászai Mari tér and the Grand Boulevard. Lined with fine-quality antique shops and gorgeous galleries, Falk Miksa is the heart of the art trade in Budapest.

Day 4 – 24 March 2022

Buffet breakfast in hotel.

Today’s excursion begins with a visit to Gödöllő and the Baroque Palace.
Built in the 18th century, the castle was donated by the Hungarian people as a wedding gift to the royal family of Franz Joseph and Queen Elizabeth. The main rooms, the gala room, the queen's reception hall, her boudoir, the office, but also her bedroom and wardrobe, as well as Francesco Giuseppe's office and smoking room have all been completely restored.

We then continue on to Szentendre where lunch will be served in a local restaurant. After lunch, your guide will take you on a walking tour of Szentendre, a baroque town with a variety is a charming little Baroque town, situated by the River Danube with winding streets, church towers, colourful houses, narrow alleyways, dozens of museums, restaurants, cafés, small shops and handicraft stalls. With an almost Mediterranean atmosphere, this town has always been favoured by artists as somewhere both to live and to work. The town has been settled by Serbian immigrants several times and this is reflected today in its houses and its beautiful churches with breathtaking iconostases. Free time for shopping and discovering the town.

Transfer back to Budapest.

Day 5 – 25 March 2022

Buffet breakfast in hotel.

Today, we continue our cultural visit of Budapest with a visit to the Great Market Hall, built in Art Nouveau style and the Belvárosi Plébánia Templom (Inner Town Parish Church) and one of the oldest churches in Budapest. In 2020, the church opened its tower to the public.

After lunch (in a local restaurant), visit the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, founded by the Hungarian composer himself, opened in 1907. It is an Art Nouveau architectural masterpiece, the structure of which is still considered an engineering marvel. The wall rugs and curtains recall the opulence of the early twentieth century. You can admire the beautiful fountain of Miksa Róth on the ground floor. The facade of the Academy is decorated with a bronze statue of the great composer.

We end today’s excursion with a cruise on the river Danube. See the city’s famous landmarks such as the Chain Bridge and Buda Castle.
End your tour with a farewell dinner as you recant your favourite moments of the past few days.

Day 6 – 26 March 2022

Enjoy breakfast in your hotel and following breakfast check-out. Meet your local guide for transfer to Budapest airport for your return flight.
